NDLEA set to arrest 2Face Idibia over drug use confession

Abuja - Officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, are in a bit of a logjam over confession of drug use attributed to Nigerian superstar, Mr 2Face Idibia.

Mr Idibia is reported to have confessed to using marijuana in the past, but not anymore as he has since given his life to Christ.

NDLEA agents are now studying their guidelines and Nigerian jurisprudence to determine whether a crime has been committed, whether statutes of limitations applies, and most importantly, whether the confessor can be relied upon as a reliable witness against himself.

A staff of NDLEA had spoke to reporters:

“We have never had this kind of case before where someone comes on television and starts to implicate himself. Normally we rely on tip-off for our kind of work, but when someone comes out to say ‘I have been smoking igbo (marijuana), what do you do?

“It is like a politician coming on Bisi Olatilo show and saying ‘I have been rigging election in the past.’ Will we investigate him? or arrest him? or will we just let him go like that?

“And to make matters worse, when we were collecting our evidence, we got hint that he appeared on one foreign, American show like that; Monica show, or Money show, or something like that.

“When we watched the video, Mr 2Face was the only one wearing shades in the studio throughout. Why? Why will he be wearing shade during interview and saying ‘yes o, yes o’ to the akata (black American) woman interviewing him?

“We really don’t know how to proceed with this one.”

In related developments, ace Nigerian Lawyer, Festus Kuyamo, has offered to represent the musician in the event that he is charged, while legendary Nigerian reggae artist, Ras Kimono, has advised him to claim he’s a Rastafarian, which in essence means that smoking weed is for him, an observance of his religion.

Cover for Terry G's "Terry G.zuz" Coming Album

Not only does Terry G refer to himself as Terry G.zuz, he also has this image on his album cover. It's such a coincidence that we were discussing a similar publicity stunt in yesterday's POST which concerned JayZ and Kanye's 'watch the throne' album cover. No doubt this kind of stunt would increase album sale for JayZ and Kanye, but for Terry G, I seriously worry that Africans won't be as tolerant and this stunt may in fact backfire ... Well time would tell.

Also, Danny Young claims Terry G stole his song and reproduced it, but Terry G is yet to speak on this matter, hence we can't say for certain if Danny Young's claim is true or false.

Well, it seems Danny Young can now be added to Terry G's 'feud book' which already has the likes of Mallam Spicy, AY.Com, Side One and Kelly Hansome

BISHOP OYEDEPO PUTS TWO PRIVATE JETS FOR SALE

On march 26th of this year,Bishop Oyedepo acquired his fourth private jet which worth around five billion naira.

The private jet,a Gulfstream V was declared to the over 10,000 worshippers who thronged Canaaland on Sunday March 27th,by the bishop himself.
The bishop said the new jet will be used exclusively for the ministry’s African Mission.

In his speech on Sunday, the bishop also announced that a state-of-art private aircraft hanger that can accommodate five jets at a time is being built for his jets near the international wing of Murtala Mohammed International Airport.

All that being said, those in the know argued that keeping a total of four private jets in the hanger is a form of extravagance judging by the amount of money that will be required to maintain the aircraft.

However, research revealed that on average,a hanger is going to cost anywhere from $200 to $3,500 a month. It’s going to come down to the size of the hanger, the time needed,as well as the location.

The story now is that,Bishop Oyedepo has now put up two out of the four private jets for sale. Though the reason for his decision, we don’t know but according to a reliable source close to the man of God, we gathered that it seems Bishop Oyedepo is now overwhelmed with the cost of maintaining the entire four jets which is estimated to cost millions of naira.
